Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 August 2026
This policy covers two things: the wattif.ai website, and the Wattif service that a contractor uses after ordering a study. It says what is collected, where it is kept, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
Wattif Inc., Delaware, USA. We sell only through electrical contractors. We do not sell studies, subscriptions, or anything else directly to building owners, and we do not sell data to anyone.
What this website collects
Nothing at all unless you fill in a form. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracking script on any page of this site. We set no cookies on the public site. Signing in to Wattif Desk sets a session cookie, which exists to keep you signed in and nothing else.
Two forms collect information, and only what they show on screen:
- The contact form. Your name, company, work email, phone number if you give one, and the message you write. It is stored so the desk has a queue to work from, and emailed to us so somebody answers it.
- The order form. The site name, service rating, system voltage, how many panels, what load is being added, your name, company, work email, phone number, the shipping address, and when you want the kit. Stored and emailed the same way. No payment details are collected anywhere on this site, because ordering takes no payment.
While you are typing a shipping address, what you have typed is sent to Google’s Places service to fetch suggestions. Nothing else on the form is sent with it, and if you type the address without picking a suggestion, nothing is sent at all.
What the service collects
- Account information for the people at your firm who use Wattif Desk and the field app: name, email, company, and role.
- Electrical measurements from the sensor kits you install: interval demand, current, and voltage, recorded per circuit. This is measurement of equipment, not of people.
- What you record about a site: panel photographs and schedules, equipment names, findings, and the outcomes your technicians write up.
- Conversations with the assistant in the product, kept so the work has a history.
Where it is stored
- Account data, findings, enquiries, and orders: Supabase, in the AWS Mumbai region.
- Electrical measurements: TDEngine, on infrastructure we run ourselves.
- The application itself: Vercel.
Who else processes it
Only these, and only to run the service:
- Supabase, database and sign-in.
- Vercel, application hosting.
- Resend, the email we send you.
- Anthropic, the AI that reads panel photographs and drafts diagnoses. Your data is not used to train models.
- Google, address suggestions on the order form only.
None of them receive your data for their own purposes, and none of it is used for advertising.
Your customers’ data
A study is run at a building your customer owns. The measurements and the report belong to you and to them. We do not contact your customers, we do not sell to them, and their site is never shown to another contractor.
We do use anonymised electrical signatures to make fault detection better across the platform. What leaves a site in that case is the shape of a waveform and the fault it turned out to be. Nothing identifying the site, the customer, or you goes with it.
Who at Wattif can see it
Our support and operations staff can reach your data to answer a question you raised, help with an installation, or investigate an error affecting your service. Access is limited to people with a reason to have it. It is never used for marketing.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries and orders: until you ask us to delete them.
- Electrical measurements: for the life of the subscription, plus 90 days.
- Conversations: 12 months.
- Account data: until you ask us to close the account.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold on you, a correction, or deletion of any of it including your whole account. Write to privacy@wattif.io and we will come back to you. You do not need a reason.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so here and move the date at the top. Material changes affecting an active subscription are emailed to the account.
