A Stamped Load Study is $1,800 where the facility has 12 months of utility records, and it is delivered in 3 days. A licensed Professional Engineer reviews and seals it.
A Turnkey Permit Package is $3,600. It is the same sealed study plus the drawing set a permit application needs, delivered in 3 to 5 days.
Where the facility has no usable records, or the question is about one feeder rather than the whole service, the study is metered: 30 days of readings taken at the panel. That adds $1,500 to either tier, so the study is $3,300 and the permit package is $5,100, and the 30 days sit inside the timeline, which is about 5 weeks.
There is also a Preliminary Capacity Report at $500. No seal, so it is not submittable to an AHJ. It is the same analysis and the same numbers, for planning or a second opinion. Upgrade any time and the $500 comes off.
What moves the price
Above 800 A, or more than one service, adds $600 per step. A change on site after the study is sealed is a re-study at $600. A revision the authority or the utility asks for is free until the submittal is accepted.
If you bought the Preliminary Capacity Report first, all $500 of it comes off a sealed study on the same panel.
Why the number is fixed before the work starts
A load study is a document with a defined scope: one service or panel, one question, one sealed answer. The scope is known before anybody starts, so the price can be too. If the scope turns out to be different from what was ordered, the price is corrected before the work begins rather than on the invoice.

What every study includes
The one-line rebuilt with every breaker mapped, the NEC 220.87 arithmetic with every figure traced to its source, the assumptions written down with anything unverified marked on the page, and a fixed price agreed before any work starts. The sealed tiers add the review and seal of a named, licensed Professional Engineer, under their own licence.

Do I need the 30 days of metering?
Only where the facility cannot produce 12 months of utility demand records, or where the question is about a single feeder or sub-panel, which a utility bill cannot see. Check the utility portal first: many commercial accounts hold interval data the account holder has never opened.
Does the $500 report count toward a study?
Yes. All $500 comes off any sealed study on the same panel. The report itself carries no seal, so it is not submittable to an authority.
Is there a rush option?
No. The published turnaround is the turnaround. A metered study cannot be shortened, because the 30 days of readings are the evidence.
What if the authority asks for a revision?
Revisions the authority or the utility asks for are free until the submittal is accepted.
